The preparation process of vanadium carbide is mainly carbothermal reduction, gas phase reduction method, precursor method, etc. Among them, the preparation process of nano vanadium carbide powder is mainly prepared by precursor method. The precursor law has problems in quality control of headlamp products, such as long process flow, particle size of precursor powder, difficult control of sintering temperature and sintering time, large proportion of non-stoichiometric components, and powder particle size distribution range, different vanadium sources and carbon sources are mixed and dissolved in liquid carriers, heated and dried, etc. However, high purity and fine particle size vanadium carbide powder cannot be obtained by carbon thermal reduction and gas phase reduction.

a. Chlorination of vanadium carbide-containing powder: using vanadium-containing powder as vanadium source, boiling chlorination is carried out to obtain the primary product of vanadium chloride;
B, vanadium carbide primary product refining: collect the distillate from 160~180 distillation to obtain high-purity vanadium chloride intermediate product; Distillate the vanadium chloride primary product in 110~140 and 160~180 respectively.
c. high-temperature carbonization of vanadium carbide: in contact with the reaction carrier, carbonization reaction occurs to obtain high-purity ultrafine metal vanadium powder, and the intermediate product of vanadium chloride is heated and gasified and mixed with high-purity ch4 and h2 mixed gas.
