Chromium carbide (Cr3C2) is a gray powder with metallic luster; the density is 6.68g/cm3; the melting point is 1890 ℃, the boiling point is 3800 ℃; at high temperature (1000~1100 ℃), it has good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Belongs to metal ceramic.
1. Chromium carbide is a high melting point material with good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance in high temperature environment. Nickel-chromium alloy hard alloy particles made by plasma spraying can be used as wear-resistant materials. High-temperature, wear-resistant, anti-oxidation, and acid-resistant coatings are widely used in aero-engines and petrochemical machinery, which can greatly increase the service life of machinery. It is also commonly used as a grain refiner for wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant parts such as cemented carbide. Chromium carbide-based cermets have excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
2. Used for chromium carbide ceramics. Coarse grained chromium carbide is used as a meltblown material to form a meltblown coating on the surface of metals and ceramics, giving the latter wear resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties. Widely used in aircraft engines and petrochemical machinery, greatly improving mechanical life. Also used for spraying semiconductor films.
Chromium carbide wear-resistant lining, for different chemical composition, the welding method is also different. The fusion welding methods of ferritic stainless steel are argon arc welding, plasma arc welding and vacuum electron beam welding. The main purpose of using these welding methods is to obtain good protection of the weld pool.
Clean the surface of the bath without contamination. Process measures taken: increase the protection of the molten pool, such as the use of double-layer gas protection, the use of gas lenses, increase the diameter of the nozzle, the appropriate increase in argon flow, etc.; or the use of the welding torch after the protective gas drag cover method to extend the welding pool protection time. During welding, the welding equipment with argon gas first and then gas stop is used to make the starting point and end point of the weld of the chromium carbide wear-resistant lining plate within the effective gas protection range. Improve the purity of argon, use high purity argon for welding, reduce the nitrogen and oxygen content, improve the degree of purification of weld metal. The advantages of adding texture or textured surface finish to chromium carbide wear-resistant lining are as follows: Reduce oil tanks in metal roofing, the term used to describe the surface of bright materials, that is, uneven angles.
For example: a large area of chromium carbide wear-resistant lining, even if straightened or tightened, it is difficult to make the surface completely flat, so the metal roofing material will shrink. The textured pattern reduces glare from sunlight. If the chrome carbide wear-resistant lining has slight scratches and small area indentations, it is not obvious.
